BIG UPDATE! Paws N Claws for the Cause
is changing it's direction.
WELCOME
We're excited to share that Paws N Claws for the Cause is coming soon to Colorado, however the need is more dire than just Colorado, so we are changing our name and initial mission.
We are in the first phase of changing to N.A.F.N, National Animal Foster Network. Starting in September 2025, we will be working with the Colorado Univeristies talented Computer Science students to develop a mobile app that will be the one stop shop for humans in crisis who need medical, mental health, drug & alcohol treatment, fleeing from domestic violence, the aging population, unhoused, temporary incarceration, and those experiencing natural disasters.
Our new mission will allow for those in crisis to seek the temporary care needed for their companion animals, no matter what species, and minimize the surrender rate to shelters and provide a life saving solution to those who only know what unconditional love is because of their companions. Hermit crabs, snakes, birds, "you get the point."
Since there are significant changes to FEMA, our app will provide resources to assist with relocation of animals impacted by a natural disasters and provide temporary care to those impacted with the end goal of reunifying those animals with their families once they reestablish their home.
How can you help? Spread the word, sign up to foster, network in your area to gain the support of resource supplies, veterinarian care, microchipping, training, ESA and service animal designations for these companion animals, donate, volunteer, and crowdfunding.
Together, we can reduce the over population rates of shelters and sancturaries by fifty percent and the euthanisia rate by thirty percent by the end of year five.
